International CIvil Aviation Organization


The International Civil Aviation Organization is a particular office of the UN that spotlights on making planes and strategies for a superior and secure air transport. The headquarter of the ICAO is situated in Quartier International of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Fifty-two nations marked the Convention on International Civil Aviation, otherwise called the Chicago Convention, in Chicago, Illinois, on 7 December 1944. Under its terms, a Provisional International Civil Aviation Organization (PICAO) was to be set up, to be supplanted thusly by a lasting association when 26 nations confirmed the tradition.

The structure of the present Council is as per the following:

PART I – (States of boss significance in ir transport) – Australia*, Brazil*, Canada*, China*, France*, Germany*, Italy*, Japan*, Russian Federation*, United Kingdom*, and the United States*.[

PART II – (States which make the biggest commitment to the arrangement of offices for universal common air route) – Argentina*, Colombia, Egypt*, India*, Ireland, Mexico*, Nigeria*, Saudi Arabia*, Singapore*, South Africa*, Spain* and Sweden.

PART III– (States guaranteeing geographic portrayal)- Algeria, Cape Verde, Congo, Cuba, Ecuador, Kenya*, Malaysia*, Panama, Republic of Korea*, Turkey, United Arab Emirates*, United Republic of Tanzania*, and Uruguay.

The present Secretary General of the ICAO is Fang Lu and he has been the General Secretary since 2015.
